ADE 1.2.85 shows ADE entities in agent replies as live chips, folds chat drawers and cleans up dead agent shells, adds a machine filter to Work, and gives a stuck background service a hard reset.

Chat

  • Lanes, chats, models, permission modes, PRs, commits, Linear issues, skills, timestamps, and line ranges in agent replies render as live chips on desktop, in the ade code TUI, and on iOS. A span becomes a chip only when it matches real ADE state (#1411).

Work

  • A chat’s shells and subagents fold into one small mark with a count and a status (failed, needs you, or running) (#1408).
  • A dead shell that App Control started under a chat archives itself. A shell that you typed into is never touched, and the transcript stays (#1408).
  • Settings → Archive is one place to manage archived items (#1408).
  • The Work filter panel is redesigned on desktop and mobile, and it can filter by machine (#1409).
  • The import hint stays readable at narrow window widths (#1407).

Accounts

  • Account lists show a Claude login as signed in only when the saved login still works (#1406).
  • Two account folders that hold the same login show as one row, and smart balance counts that quota once (#1406).
  • Click an account to pick it for new chats (#1406).

Recovery

  • When macOS loads the background service but never starts it, ADE detects the Login Items state and explains the fix in plain language instead of reporting a crash loop (#1410).
  • A new Hard reset starts ADE over on the machine when Repair cannot fix it (#1410).
